Cruising and Sailing School, Cornwall
We
are a RYA approved sailing school based in and around the beautiful
harbour of Fowey in Cornwall in the South West of England. Established
over 30 years ago, we are one of the oldest sailing schools in the country.
Our range of shore based and practical courses will suit your needs whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced sailor. We are equally happy to cater for corporate clients and whole families of all ages.
The courses are run by an experienced team of professional instructors who provide a positive, attentive and caring learning environment. They have extensive sea experience and have worked for the school itself for many years. Our success is due to the high standards we set ourselves.
The purpose of the school is to provide practical and theory tuition in seamanship, navigation and cruising under sail but we also offer skippered charter for sailing experience and cruising holidays.

We offer bareboat charter plus tuition on owner's yachts. Charter trips to France, the Scilly Isles and around the English, Scottish and Irish coastal waters can be arranged with tuition included if required.
Charter and practical training courses can also be arranged in St Lucia on our classic 72ft yacht 'Witch of Zennor'.
Our
boat is a Sadler 34 deep fin keel, which is design by David Sadler as
a follow on from the Contessa class. These boats are widely known for
their sea keeping and safe sailing qualities which makes them good
sea training boat.
Tuition can be arranged if required. Normal charter periods are from weekends to ten days or longer. Prices are available on request.
You can take in the beautiful cruising waters of the South West with Polperro, Plymouth, Salcome and Dartmouth to the east whilst to the west there is Mevagissey, St Mawes, Helston and The Lizard. The Helford and the sheltered waters of Falmouth and Carrick roads are also very popular.

Sailing School in Cornwall is recognised by the Royal Yacht Association and
therefore undergoes rigorous checks on the standards and safety of the
yachts and the ability of the skipper and instructors.
We are members of the National Federation of Sea Schools.
